I usual go with my two buddies. We've actually been going off-and-on for well over 30 years. It used to be held in the old Customs House on the quayside, which is a lovely building. In those days, there was usually 7-8 off us in the gaming group. It was very popular and well attended by both vendors, clubs with displays and demo's and gamer's

However, over the years, it has moved to various other sites, including a couple of years at St'James Park, the Discovery Museum and then several years in the Telewest Arena, which was good venue and only about 5 miles from where I live. It then moved to its current location at the Gateshead International Stadium a few years ago,  and it has sadly  also grown smaller in every respect. We didn't go last year but may meet up there this year. If nothing else, it gives us a chance to meet up for a few hours.

Well, my buddy will not be going this year - he and his missus are off to do a tour of Normandy!

Are you required to brawl with ornery Scots who dare cross the border to raid the convention?

It's a comfort to know that we can rely on Bawb for unusual euphemisms.  :D
