You know, 'lite' because it's not $150 nor a ten pound box of components.  ;D

It's more of an intro to Gloomhaven (and as BC said, it is well received). Having finished the Gloomhaven campaign I have no interest in this. I'm waiting for Frosthaven to get here.  :D

It's on sale at Target right now and I've got a store wide purchase discount on top of that so I think I can get the whole thing under $40

Go for it. It's solo-able so there's that at least.

That's a great price considering it was $50 just a few months ago when it first came out. Wonder why they're already clearing them out?

My wife and I have this and are a few scenarios into the game.  We've never played full Gloomhaven so this is a nice introduction in the game/system. Great components and we've enjoyed how you can jump right in and the beginning scenarios teach you the game while you play.

So I have been playing Gloomhaven for nearly 3 years and nearly at end of the expansion Forgotten Circles. I play at the moment weekly on TTS which allows me to keep games going with my mates. Previous to this I would host gloomhaven weekends where we would drink beer and play the campaign.

I had no intention of buying this but a gaming friend had bought a spare copy and offered it at discount. My wife watched the Tom Vassal you tube review and was interested in playing it. So I bought it and we took it on holiday with us. Long story short she really likes it and wants to play more. We have completed 4 of the 5 learning scenarios.

The way the first 4 scenarios are laid out is well thought out and a great way to learn a complex system. I  love co-op games and it is great she wants to complete it. You can play solo but it's fun with 2 or more. Great way for a family to play together without coming to blows as you have work together.

Nice components and the game play mechanics are superb with plenty of choices and ways to play. Definitely worth buying imo.
