World in Flames looks interesting - thankfully I do not have the table space

King Arthur didn't have the table space

I had the original WiF, way back when it first came out. Basically, it was unplayable.

Yeah - I couldn't possibly imagine ever starting something of that size. It's nice looking though - much like the computer version...nice looking and unplayable  :P

I bought the original game too back in the mid-80s...or rather, my grandfather bought it for me. It was confusing as hell but I powered through it as best I could. I've had it all this time but just traded it away a few weeks ago. I had thought about getting it back to the table but I don't have a table to fit it on now, so...

I'm not sure if they have done one or more rules revisions to it over the years, and if so, that made any improvement to the playability.

No one has a table big enough. I think this is one of those 'floor games'.  ;D

They have, but more along the lines of expansions. This list goes over pretty much all of them, looks like. I never got into it beyond the base copy.

I had been tasked at Matrix to do the manual for the computer version but that was pretty much the straw that broke the camel's back for me, there.

I had to set it up in the spare bedroom, on the bed. :)
