I spent Friday and Saturday at Winter Offensive, hosted by Mulitman Publishing.  Played some ASL, met some old friends and made some new friends, and saw a lot of games being played.  It's amazing how tired I was each night after playing ASL for 8 hours.

I even won a raffle prize -- MMP for a year, not including ASL, GCACW, or Gamers products.  I'm not sure what that leaves, but hopefully I'll get something good.

I’ve spent half my life’s earning on wargames, women, and drink. The rest I wasted.

Day 1 of a four day weekend. Leaving for SnowCon in about an hour

Playing a big Franco-Prussian War minis game all day Saturday.

Is the storm hitting up there?
It came in last night. Winding down now.

Was supposed to turn to rain down here, but it didn't. It was light and fluffy, these kind of snow storms, I don't mind. .only like 4 or 5 inches.

Same up here. About 6-8 inches. Light easy to shovel.

Turned to rain here.  Slushy mess and lots of flooding because they never plough the streets in this city.  Glad I shovelled when it was all powder.

Buncha old men talking about the weather in a gaming thread!  :go-on:

I played Pavlov's House on Saturday (scored 38 points and The Order of the Red Banner, easily my best success - though I remember I failed much more at that game than I've succeeded).

Got Space Infantry: Resurgence to my table yesterday, but between the wife making me do one thing or the other I had barely any time to sit and absorb the rules. That book is about 150 pages but you only need about 40 to play the standard game, if I remember right. Still, hoping to get back to it this week and give it a review for the site.

I've mostly been playing Thrones of Britannia: Total War (with mods) the last several days.  I almost forgot how much I like the changes the game made to the usual TW formula (no agents, "mustering" reflected in units initially appearing at only partial strength, etc.).  I hope they're incorporated into a future titles at some point.
