I mean...it's got something if it's on my table for 2 months AND I've played about 10 scenarios (repeating a few to try again)
Well...I've now packed this away. Honestly...very impressed with it. There's issues with the rules but the gameplay is excellent.

I can understand its not everyone's cup of tea. It's sort of odd I guess to play one action at a time, activating one unit at a time.

But I really, really liked it.

Now into this

 :whistle: ::)
Soon my friend - very soon  ;) ;)

This just arrived out of nowhere from their last Kickstarter. No shipping notification but glad its here :)  Guess I'll be looking at this soon.

JD any suggestions on the best way to start tackling learning this game?

I'm afraid not...it was quite some time ago I played it.

From what I recall the rules were a bit here and there and took some working out and deciphering...but hopefully they got that sorted in the reprint.

I don't remember it being overly complicated...it was the rules that made it hard.

I think you'll be fine with the first couple of scenarios breaking you in

Good luck. I remember having a blast

I've got Spruance Leader on my table. It's my first "Leader" game and I'm really enjoying it.

(My current task force includes the USS Leyte Gulf, CG-55, which fired the Tomahawks in Top Gun: Maverick.)

I do want to finish my campaign in the next day or two because I want to get Thin Red Line's Deadly Northern Lights on the table next.

This again.

I've just finished a monster scenario I knocked up myself...I decided to do a wee one before I took a look at the rules for Battle Hymn again.

I did an AAR on Battle Hymn way back but I never got to complete it...I had to remove it from my table so I wasn't too get back to it

I've played this game for about 10 weeks now which even beats my time on Combat! and Fields of Fire. That's impressive...and I'm so not bored with it yet either
