Mentioned in Dispatches Season 5 Episode 10
The Charles S Roberts “Awards”

Greetings! I hope everyone is having a restful Thanksgiving holiday. Here is the listener's guide for episode 10. I list the games, or other items of interest, in the order they are mentioned, or discussed. I'm sure I missed a few along the way, so if you notice something missing, let me know. If a game is talked about or listed in the awards more than once, I do not link it multiple times. I only put  the word "Repeat" after it. Games that won in their category either have an asterisk, or are in bold font.

I stop at the end of the Best Game Review or Analysis award. If you want to see the three other categories, you can look 'em up.  :)

I've fallen behind in getting the listener's guide posted. I'm going to do my best to get caught up; however, I these may be late until the season ends. Fingers crossed that isn't the case.  :fingerscrossed:

Banter before discussing the awards

Case Blue (2007)

Carcassonne (2000)

7 Wonders (2010)

Ticket to Ride (2004)

The Campaign for North Africa: The Desert War 1940-43 (1979)

While talking about CNA, someone brought up the fact that this game appeared in the Big Bang Theory. Here's a screen capture of the game, probably older than many of the actors on that program.

Have I mentioned how much I hate hearing myself talk, by the way?  Bleh!  :buck2:

Seriously, though, that was a lot of fun.  I suspect we could have easily (and cheerfully) gone on discussing 4x games for a lot longer than we did.  It was probably just as well that Brant needed to get to dinner, and that we therefore had to wrap things up when we did.  ;D
