^That makes me want to play Federation Commander or Federation Space again.

So, FS is strategic and operational level and FC is tactical level. Is that correct.

Correct, but really Federation & Empire is the true strategic game. Federation Space was a lighter version of F&E that didn't do as well. The rules were broken and never fixed.

Might start clipping it tonight. Not a lot of counters and GMT thoughtfully included a counter tray.

Very handy having a tray included. I have a couple of spares if you get stuck :-)

Is GMT including counter trays in all of their games now?

Not sure. I think this is the first time I've come across a tray included. It's a nice touch.

I well remember the old SPI games where the 'box' was actually a huge counter tray. Bloody awkward size they were, too.

My copy of Death Valley: Battles for the Shenandoah had two counter trays in it. I hope it's the new norm.

The one on the left only has IV FKs to give while the other has VIII.

I have Federation & Empire.  I noticed on Wargame Vault that for F&E there is a 2010 edition.

Also, on TTS, there is a workshop download for Federation Commander.

I have been tempted by F&E for 40 years. It seems really fiddly, though.

I actually don't really like games.
