I tried to take a look at it. It took half a day just to get my accounts linked and when they did all I get is it crashing while loading. I get to watch the weird guy video every time, mind you, but then...loading...crash...

Nope you need to have pre-purchased and have a Steam account. It runs through Steam.
I can get it running but lots of bugs.

No luck for me. I validated local files and even reinstalled. It still crashes when I hit 'Start'.

The Spiffing Brit has fun exploiting some of the various cultures' mechanics. I'm not sure how informative the video is, but it's pretty entertaining to watch!

The game's release has been pushed back to August 17.

Some folks will undoubtedly be bummed by the news, but I think it's a good move on Amplitude's part. If you're truly intent on challenging the Civ series, you don't want to release an unbalanced & unpolished mess.

Yeah, I don't mind. I hope they get it right before they release it.

Hard to believe it will be a Civilization killer based on the 4 minutes I spent with the preview version. That said, I am hopeful they have it figured out now.

Yeah, after that pcgamer review Humankind spent about 5 minutes in my purchase cart before I put it back on the shelf. Looks promising but I want to make sure I'm not buying a broken game first. And yes, I admire my self-restraint
Somewhere, somehow, I woke up in the wrong timeline. I'm pretty sure this isn't even my dimension.

self-restraint
you're gonna need to offer some sort of definition or reference point for this term
I'm not sure anyone around here knows what it is
