Title: BGG@Home
Post by: rickbill on October 04, 2020, 03:10:26 AM

This is the BGG's 2nd virtual con for the year.  I hosted some events at their summer con (shortly after the cancelled vORIGINS).  They ran an excellent event last time - I would expect nothing less this fall.  Wargame events may be sparse ... unless we host them

I added it to the list at http://virtualwargamer.wikidot.com/vge (http://virtualwargamer.wikidot.com/vge)

I suspect the most political junkies will still be in a post-election coma at that point, but it might be fun to have something different to do for a while 😎

I've newly joined the forum and wanted to take a moment to promote this con.

Our club, Houston Beer and Pretzel Wargaming, (http://beerandpretzelwargaming.com) have allied with BoardGameGeek to create a virtual historic wargame track at BGG@Home called "WG: Texas BROADSIDE!". This track will be a virtual version of our usually face-to-face regional convention aboard USS TEXAS (http://txbroadside.com). Because of the pandemic we've decided that this year we'd hold our 10th con virtually.

I'd like to invite you all to consider playing and/or hosting in our track. All event ticket sales paid by participants in these games will be donated to support ongoing restoration of BB-35.

Our current schedule of events is here: https://tabletop.events/conventions/bgg-home-2020/schedule#?query=&eventtype_id=FDCF8D6C-FEB1-11EA-8435-A1E155ACFD67

Our schedule includes a couple of games based on your efforts in Tabletop Simulator, Memoir '44 Market-Garden and C&CN Epic Salamanca.

Hope you can join us!

Thanks
