Good god...how did you people play boardgames back then.
  • Map art seems non existent (though I would say there's a certain charm to the basicness of them)
  • the counters look like you need an axe to get them out the cardboard and are really small and hard to read - and always such stark colours.
  • the manuals and player aids were just so bland

...

Actually, there a much worse looking games from back then.

I was looking at the counters for 'A Time for Trumpets', which makes 'extensive' use of colours.
