and yes, I backed this one.  I kept telling myself that next time Reaper put one of these up I was going to back it, so I did

This ought to fill me up on minis for the rest of my life....

and of course, expected deliver isn't until 2024, but at least they're not promising something they know they can't hit

I just started painting some Bones miniatures which I have not done in several years. I like the newer plastic they use rather than the resin. Unfortunately the minis I am painting, I have had for about five years and are made of resin. Not bad just flexible and normally ill-defined details.

The question is, do these newer minis really need painting? They are a lot more detailed and painting them would make them look better, but for an RPG session, is it really necessary? (https://www.aarcentral.com/emoti/thinking.gif)

Only a crazy person would make this sort of assertion!

I went back and looked at this Kickstarter again. One of the things I always found interesting about Reaper is they tend to do off-the-wall creature types. Since I only play D&D right now it holds less interest. However, some of the figures might be cool for something like Numeria or Call of Cthulhu or something where you can have creatures that do not fit the stereotypical D&D fantasy monsters. I would love for Reaper to manufacture their stirge mini again. Such an annoying creature for the players to encounter.
