I don’t hate anyone! I was also hurt to just be dumped like so much digital refuse, but I’m feeling better now. That said I do not like that the community split either. Ultimately it’s up to BB or Bawb or someone here, but maybe a reconciliation thread is in order so as not to continue hijacking this Old World thread.

We of the Hittite tribe can never reconcile with you perfidious Persians.  NEVER!!!!!

You can pry my stone from my cold dead Persian hands once I figure out how to use my scouts correctly in the final tutorial, knave!

It's war then.   So be it.

Boy!  Fetch me my fighting chariot!....no, no, no....that's the touring chariot.  Get the one with the whirling blade thingies on the wheels....what do you mean it's in the shop?

This isn't over, Persian!

Is this RTS or Turn based?

Here at ACD, we all pee the same color.

I prefer the Hun version - the one with the horse at the back.......

Guys,

I've made the only public statements I'm going to make about why I left, and I'm not re-litigating it.
Others have their own option to say something about their own choices or not, as everyone made their own decisions, and they have the choice to express that their own way

If you guys want to hug it out in private, please feel free to do so.

If you guys want to hug it out in public, please feel free to do so.

If you guys want to fight it out in private, please feel free to do so.

If you guys want to fight it out in public, please feel free to do it somewhere else and leave it out of The Armchair Dragoons.

But whatever you do, open a different thread for it and let's get back to talking about Old World here, or I'm going to have to start splitting threads and moving posts around and that's a pain in the ass that I don't want to do any more work than I have to

Somehow this ended up starting to download in Steam tonight. I blame you guys. Only problem is having no time to play it until the weekend, but the slick "free" DLC marketing ploy may have worked to get the impulse buy.

Heads-up for those who already owned the game on Epic:

https://mohawkgames.com/2022/05/24/epic-prior-may-19/

Quote
We noticed an issue where the DLC was not being gifted to people who had purchased Old World Prior to May 19. This has been fixed, anyone who has purchased the game prior to May 19th on the Epic Game Store should have the Heroes of the Aegean DLC at this point in time.

Additionally if you had already purchased the DLC in error your account has been automatically reimbursed. Thanks for your patience and understanding.

I was pretty much planning to get Old World no matter what, but yeah the "free" DLC definitely made my decision that much easier.  ;)

How long do each of the tutorials take?

Each one took me about an hour - there are five. The in game help reads that the tutorials don't cover everything, but they're really detailed.

The last one kind of befuddled me because the one important unit, the scout, was key and could not be seen by the Roman enemy. And mine kept getting caught :/
