Yes, it probably does look familiar.  8)

It actually includes one of my favorite games, Gradius!

I do believe there are also SNES and PS1 'Classics' either out or out soon in a similar preloaded format, as well as a C64 Mini, which I just got.

Stagger have you tried to load other programs on to that mini? Did it work?

Man if that works I'd be sorely tempted to get one.... wonder if I can find all those floppy discs.... if they even work....

I just got it and have not even hooked it up yet but you should be able to load much C64 software if you can either convert it to, or find it online, as disk images to load onto a USB stick. There are floppy disk and even tape drive hardware-based emulators available that use USB dives to trick vintage C64s into thinking they are attached to real Datasette or 1541 drives so you can find many classic games in online repositories. These disk images are also used by many C64 software emulators such as Forever C64 (https://www.c64forever.com). You can find them in places such as http://www.c64.com.

The one game I really played the hell out of on the C64 was Project Space Station.

The game I played to death was SSi's Computer Ambush.

Man I loved that game.

Oh! And F15 Strike Eagle!

I just had to look up the C64 Mini - 80 bucks on Amazon (US). I looked up the games and can't say I'm familiar with more than 20% of them - mostly the Games series (Summer Games II, Winter Games, etc.). Disappointed there aren't any strategy titles like the Conflict series (Decision in the Desert, Crusade in Europe, etc.), but I get that would be maybe esoteric for a general audience.

I'd LOVE to see an Apple IIc emulator like this C64 Mini - an actual console, not a software emulator program.

Like I said...an actual console, not a software emulator on my computer.

But thanks for the link, regardless.

...holy crap, there's a LOT of games at that link, bbmike. I think I'll forgive my point and be fine with playing online like that.

Another really cool site is Classic Reload. Tons of old PC games (and others). The best part is, if you use Google Chrome you can save games!  :o

Now I just need time to go through all of this...

Crusade in Europe is there...dammit, that's awesome enough for a bookmark. Woot!

So is 'Paradroid'. Played that for endless hours on the C64  :D
