All of the recent activity about various Space 4x games got me to wondering just which ones do I actually own? I went through my Steam and GoG libraries and come up with the following (I do not claim that is a complete list):

My all-time favorites are: Armada 2526, BotF, GalCiv3, Horizon, Interstellar Space: Genesis, MOO2, Alpha Centauri/Alien Crossfire, Space Empires IV

So what do you have? Any that I missed/should know about? Which ones are you all-time favorites?
This may eventually lead to a poll.

Wow thats is alot invested in the genre, as you can see from my list I'm a complete and utter beginner when it comes to space 4x

Great topic! It's always interesting to see which games other people have; there always seems to be at least 1-2 that I've not seen or heard of before.

Indeed, bbmike's list is no exception. I'm pretty sure you own more space 4x games than I do, incidentally. (Maybe I'm just a little choosier? Yeah, let's go with that...

)

Anyway, here's what I've got (same caveat, the list may not be comprehensive, etc.):

My all-time favorites: Stellaris, Birth of the Federation, Distant Worlds, Armada 2526, Imperium Galactica II, Galactic Civilizations II & III, and -- somewhat to my chagrin -- StarDrive 2 (hey, the numbers don't lie).

Not at this point, no. Although I briefly fired it back up just a few days ago (after briefly conversing with the devs on Discord), I ended up experiencing...technical difficulties.

In any case, the devs have made it clear that LoR isn't ready it anyway. A lot of progress has been made this past year, and the current build is finally starting to resemble an actual game, but they said it'll probably be at least another 6 months before it's in a playable (alpha) state.

I play with the unofficial patch but that's all for the moment. I try not to mess around to much with the games because i am afraid to break something. The other games i played mods with were Birth of the Federation, Master of Orion 3 and Knights of Honor.

I don't even want to count my 4x space games on my PC (I know I have MOO somewhere, now Stellaris, and more than a few others).

Board game-wise, I have Space Empires 4x and Eclipse.
