Lots of stuff on Amazon Prime Day deals, as always

Yeah, so, reading this statement late Monday night after 2 bottles of wine and some port, I apparently drunk ordered Undaunted North Africa and a new 8" carbon steel fry pan.
Undaunted was delivered today... on the porch as my wife and I arrived home from some errands...  :face:

She just laughed at me.....

Hahaha!  I imagine she realizes there are worse things in life than having a spouse who drunk-orders boardgames.  ;D

We are, or so I thought.

That was my understanding as well.

I will say, however, that the wok comment left me wheezing for a solid minute.  Well done, sir.

Undaunted NA is a great game; I have it. I'll probably get Normandy too once Reinforcements drops.

I bought Normandy based off very positive reviews but I was so put off by the character artwork that I sold it after a few plays.  I won a copy of NA at a game con but never play it, again due tothe character artwork.

Steam Summer Sale 2021 starts tomorrow at 1000 PST/1300 EST.

My daughter got me Mass Effect Legendary Edition recently, and I'm hoping RDR2 will be one of the sale items.

Both of those are on my wishlist hoping they have a good discount

Both of those are pretty new so I doubt they will be marked down much.

GOG is currently holding their big summer sale (through June 28).  I picked up a few games, including a couple that were on my wishlist.

I don't expect much from the Steam sale, but that's because most of the games on my wishlist haven't even been released yet.  :P

True, though anything off 59.99 for RDR2 would be nice. I might try the Epic Games Store again and see if that'll work, but I'm going to wait for this just in case. Even 10% off would be good.

I did see something about a 'murder mystery' theme which hasn't filled me with much hope. Still, I suppose we'll see, who knows.

I bought RDR2 for the PC off Steam at discount. Reckon it was probably £35 instead of £55 iirc.

I couldn't play it on PC - didn't seem right after playing the first one on X-Box...I'll keep with my PS version

Steam sale is live. RDR2 is 40.19 USD, so I might bite. I got a Steam card when I bought this new system that's been waiting for this sale, heh.

Only thing is, it says 40.19 in the Search bar, but when you click it and go to the Store page, it says 59.99.  :face:

Looks like as usual, they're slowly but surely fixing things. I'm guessing their servers are going to be hammered for a few days so I might wait.

Lots of good stuff I've seen so far on sale, including quite a few strategy titles.

Do you mean the keyboard/mouse controls on the PC?

Pretty happy with my haul here but I might need to play one to completion and THEN install the next - lol what a concept. The HD on this new PC is only a terabyte, and RDR2 alone is 118GB.  :o

Anyway, I grabbed
  • RDR 2
  • Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order
  • Barnfinders
  • Battletech
  • Cold Waters
  • and a multi-state expansion pack for American Truck Simulator

All in all, not bad I think. I'm installing RDR2 now as I know it'll take forever  ;D

That all said, their servers were surprisingly responsive during the purchase process, so maybe they've finally learned their lessons? Only a bit of lag sometimes when clicking on games to see their store pages, but otherwise no issues.

GOG is giving away the Shadowrun trilogy until their summer sale ends (in just under 66 hours).
