This must be one of the most gamed subjects ever;
How many 'Stalingrad' games can we list - just board games - no 'e-games'
Drive on Stalingrad by SPI
Battle for Stalingrad, again by SPI
Streets of Stalingrad , there have been several version by different publishers I think?
Storm over Stalingrad by MMP
Stalingrad '42 - to be published by GMT
Roads to Stalingrad (may not be the final name) by Hexasim
Stalingrad Pocket by The Gamers / MMP
Thinking caps on, chaps - lets add to the list.
-
^Do the same with Gettysburg and see who wins!
-
Good idea, Mike and maybe Waterloo would be a contender.
-
Same with Bulge games....

I don't think I own any Stalingrad games, which is why I'm happy Simonitch is designing Stalingrad '42.

Well technically I guess some ASL, Panzer, or Combat Commander scenarios could be at Stalingrad. And I've captured Stalingrad in No Retreat! But yup no Stalingrad games in the collection.

I don't own any Stalingrad specific games, but 50% of my wargame collection is Cold War and later, and most of the rest is age of gunpowder stuff.
My WW2 inventory, not counting some stray magazine games, are Spearpoint 1943, a couple of LNLT games, Bulge 20, FAB Sicily, the original SL, Tank on Tank, Rommel at Gazala (LNL), and The Pacific War: Pearl Harbor to the Philippines
WW2 just isn't a big area of interest for me.
I had the ATO Berlin game, but sent it to BC a while ago

Don't you have the Carcassonne version - 'Armoured Wheat Gatherers on the Volga'?

-
Same here...might have to pick up Stalingrad ‘42.... more shelf space I don’t have....
-
Have you got table space though; that's the main question.
-
I think so.. my game table has a play surface of 46”x94”.
-
Yep, that should do it - its even big enough to get Mirth's new Ardennes game on!
Not wishing to be rude or anything, but............are your arms long enough to reach those pesky counters in the middle of the table? ::)
-
Yes... just... that's why I built it that size! :D

;D
(but no, nor do I have Scythe, which is pretty much what you described)
-
Well, that's me put in my place. :-[
-
I've got the Stalingrad expansion for Tide of Iron. I think that's the only Stalingrad specific board game I own.

Hey... back off big man, that may work with the chicks, but not me.

Hehe... be a man and build yer own. >:D
-
Well, this idea for an interesting games thread went down like a cast iron zeppelin. >:D
-
I also have the Tide of Iron (Next Wave) base set and the Stalingrad expansion.
Another one (I didn't peruse Brant's killjoy list lol) is Turning Point: Stalingrad. I have that one (probably in storage too with ToI and countless others).
I'm definitely in for Stalingrad '42. :)
-
Der Kessel is another one. I have the original somewhere and also bought the newer/upgraded version on Wargame Vault.

Actually, despite all that we've said on the subject, the old SPI game, 'Battle for Stalingrad', designed by John Hill, really is an excellent game and one that I had sunk a lot of hours into.

I dug out Turning Point Stalingrad a few weeks ago, just to look through it. An old area-control AH design but an interesting one even now.
