I'd forgotten to roll for 'Bomber Loss due to Battle Damage.' That's when you damage a bomber but have to break off. On a roll of 1 or 2, the bomber would go down (usually it's just a 1, but you add one to that for each engine it has out). Of course, I rolled a 3, so pffffft to that.

No unconfirmed kills in this game.

If we have to break off and a damaged bomber gets away, I roll per the above. If the bomber happens to go down, I have to roll 1d6. On a 1 or 2, someone else spotted it go down and we'd get credit for the kill. Very honest chaps these nightfighter pilots.  ;D
