Are they still working on the big diplomacy update?

Yes, but you can play it now in Beta state. They just released a second beta version a couple of days ago.

@besliarius it works okay on my laptop, how bad is your existing system resource wise? I like finding games I can play on my laptop and FOG:E and FOG II work for me. Of course desktop is a lil faster.

The issue is my laptop is really getting old and having problems with the battery.  I know that a new one is due, but family issues are keeping me from looking into a replacement.
Thanks.

Looking forward to hearing about this!
Pretty sure that once I get a new, reliable system, FOG will be a first day purchase.
Good luck to all and don't screw the pooch.

The first game was a wash.  Fourteen turns in, I had to ask for a restart.  My play style is aggressive and my results were decidedly against me.  ;)  The game, by its very nature, really requires a Province to have any chance in the early game.  After you get one, you can turtle and defend.  Until then, it's tough to administer a group of single Regions.  Your neighbors can be a bit...aggressive.

The roster for Round 2 is Barthheart as Rome
Tuna as Britonae
OJsDad as Cheruscii
MetalDog as Arverni

For the 300 B.C. geographically challenged, Cheruscii is in the middle of modern Germany.  Arverni is the eastern middle of France.
