Decent UI for a mobile game?

The Small General series aren't bad.  I've tried the Tiller mobile UI and it drives me nuts.

I veer towards the cheesy pay-as-you-go game, like Dominations, Sim City Build-It, Forge of Empires, etc.

Carrier Battles for Guadalcanal is an excellent wargame on the iPad.  :bigthumb:

I've had that on my iPad for a while but damned if I can get through the instructions.

Yep, but it's fairly convoluted. Either that or I'm just impatient. Probably both.

Isn't that like saying 'I'd give my right arm to be ambidextrous'?

if you like the Academy Games Birth of a Nation Series, there is a good port for 1775 and 1812:

(I cannot find the link for 1775 anymore, in the IPAD store, maybe it has been removed?)

disclaimer: AI is not that hard to beat, though I will admit when playing head to head it is more about luck than skill in most games (true for C&C as well, so ...)

Tabletopia ... is a framework for porting boardgames for online play, ... they are working toward mobile device support (IPAD/ANDROID) ...  I was working with their kit and did some mobile ports .... there were still bugs with it when I last had time to play with it (around Christmas).

https://tabletopia.com/

https://itunes.apple.com/app/apple-store/id1274379679?pt=118594584&ct=landing&mt=8

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.Tabletopia.TabletopiaApp

It requires a permission to use our graphics / game from the game publisher to make a kit.  I asked  LNLPUBLISHING at last year's ORIGINS - but, it probably got lost in the shuffle with the busy summer GAME CONVENTION season and all the work they are going forward with the DIGITAL version of their games.

Not sure, but it also looked like an expensive  approach to boardgaming using your tablet - would love to see a tablet friendly VASSAL.
