When I looked they only had about 7 wargames listed as on sale. :(

Sounds like Origins.  :(

BBMike - Is Mutant Year 0 worth $21?  Or should I wait for the Steam Winter Sale?

It is very X-Com like combat-wise so if you liked X-Com I think you will like this. My only word of caution is that the campaign is fairly short. They did just release new DLC but I don't have it so I can't comment on what it adds. IMO the base game is worth $21.

Which X-Com - the original or the reboot?  I disliked the reboot because the aliens always reacted the same way when a "trigger hex" was reached.  It made sound tactical decisions very difficult.  The original X-Com (and Jagged Alliance 2) did not have scripted tactical strategies hit by trigger hexes.

You might want to skip this then. It is very much like the reboot in terms of "trigger hexes". I haven't replayed any of the missions so I'm not sure if the enemies always react the exact same way.

Thanks for the information!  I'm going to give it a pass - unless it drops to the $5 or so range at least.

The Pacific War war game?

First edition rules were a disaster. If they have the second edition, which is supposed to be a better translation then you might take a chance on this as an updated look at what was Victory in the Pacific

Truth. I ordered the Heroes of the Pacific X-Maps and the shipping cost was more than half the price of the maps!  :tickedoff:

you probably could've asked Dave to bring them to WBC and pick them up from him there

That would involve travel. I was hoping to pick them up at Origins.  :(

This is why I don't order direct from LnLP. The shipping costs always kill it for me.
