Yeah, I'm not impressed with the siege "rework" -- especially since they've not actually been reworked.
So major settlement battles are now going to entail an RTS mini-game, involving a gimmicky "supply" mechanic, and building structures while the combat is ongoing?? In addition , we're seeing the return of needing to hold "victory locations" (or whatever they're called now) from Rome II -- a feature that was thoroughly despised? No thank you.
I'll grant the new multi-levels allowing missile units to take a more prominent role is a positive step, but that's the only actual improvement I'm seeing so far.
I did, however, really enjoy the sieges in Fall of the Samurai...probably the best TW sieges of all.
I feel like Shogun 2 and Thrones of Britannia are the only TW games that have done siege battles any real justice.
