Mentioned in Dispatches, S1E6 – The US Army Wargame Design Curriculum

For the sixth episode of our new podcast, we officially christen the show with our new name, Mentioned in Dispatches. This week, we welcome Dr James Sterrett of the US Army Command and General Staff College, on official business to discuss the curriculum at Ft Leavenworth that trains the US Army’s FA 57’s – the Simulations Operations Officers – as a part of their career development.

We discuss the career path of the typical FA 57, the game design courses at CGSC, the integration with the MMAS program there, and the general approaches to teaching professional game design to military students.

For a consolidated list of the professional-focused podcasts, see this thread in our forums
