The Giant Civ 6 AAR: Nubia, Part Ten

We’re charting the uncharted, cleaning up to red spills, and, well… getting stuck

Run!

Gotta get this scout out of the area before the Georgians close up against the mountains and pin him in like the other one.

civ6-Nubia
Bumping Up.

I’ve got a promotion available for the warrior that cleared out the barbarian camp.

civ6-Nubia
Battlecry.

I tend to go for the combat power above all else.  The defense against ranged attacks is far more useful if you plan to besiege a lot of cities, but I’m not.

civ6-Nubia
Yep.

Still stuck.

civ6-Nubia
Is It Still A Tradition . . .

If you’ve only had it for one turn?

civ6-Nubia
Almost There.

My first trader has 1 turn until complete.

civ6-Nubia
Government Policies.

Thanks to the military tradition civics, I’ve got some new policies available in my government.

civ6-Nubia
My Current Chiefdom.

I’ve only got 2 policies.

civ6-Nubia
Caravanseries.

This policy boosts the gold output of my trade routes, so I’m swapping it out for my faith/gold policy for now.

Current Government.

Settling into my new foci1

civ6-Nubia
You Suuuuuuure?

Yes, I’m sure.

civ6-Nubia
The Great Bath.

Someone else built a wonder I wasn’t even considering.

civ6-Nubia
Promoted Warrior On The Prowl.

Let’s see what trouble he can find.

civ6-Nubia
So It’s Not A Corn Maze . . .

It’s a “maize maze”?

civ6-Nubia
Increased Yield.

We now have a boosted production on this space.

civ6-Nubia
Trader!

I’m now ready to get my first trade route launched, which will also start leaving some roads in its wake.

civ6-Nubia
Money, Money, Money.

Singapore returns the most cash, so I’ll start with them.  This trade route will run for 12 turns.

civ6-Nubia
Eureka!

Now that I’ve got a trade route, my people have a learned a bit about how “currency” works.

civ6-Nubia
Typical Canadian Politeness.

I guess we’ll accept their delegation, but next time we want hockey sticks.

civ6-Nubia
Mo’ People, Mo’ Problems.

And we start to develop some imperial structures to manage them, like, y’know, getting closer to closing our borders.

Coming soon?  We enter a new age, pre-program some techno-developments, and more.
