The Giant Civ 6 AAR: Nubia, Part XVI

The barbarians are coming out of the woodwork this time.

Oooooh, NOT Good.

I got across the river to reduce the attack penalty, just in time for Vinnie to move out his damaged spearman and replace him with a full-strength horseman.  Ouch.

Never Tell Me The Odds.

And if you look at the bottom of the screen, they are NOT good.

civ6-Nubia
Still Scouting.

Coastline is getting more revealing

civ6-Nubia
Crap.

“But ma! He hit me first!”  So yeah, time to back outta here.

civ6-Nubia
Ditto.

Yes, we’re running away from a bunch of  barbarians right now.

civ6-Nubia
And This Guy’s After Me.

So I need to keep some complex terrain between me & him to slow down those ponies.

civ6-Nubia
Leave.  Now.

We’re getting away from the city and letting the Canadians deal with their own.  Head for the coast and rest.

civ6-Nubia
Still Running.

But, if I can run this guy past those cities, the ponies might get distracted and go raiding instead of tailing.

civ6-Nubia
Dead End.

Found a peninsula, but there’s not much out here.  Still, might be a good future city location if it weren’t on the other side of Canada.  Either way, this scout has mapped the hell out of some coastline for me, so let’s find other things for him to do.

civ6-Nubia
Are you $#!&ing Me.

That worker got perfectly in my way and now I need to retreat elsewhere and hope the horseman still peels off.

civ6-Nubia
Terra Incognito.

Let’s go find out what’s undercover over here.

civ6-Nubia
Yikes.

Major drought just pummeled one of my cities, which kills the production there, plus damages my tile improvements.

civ6-Nubia
I Wonder What That Is?

Oh hey, it’s Daddy Pyramid to go with all the little ones I’ve been building.

civ6-Nubia
Waaah.

No really, I don’t care.  I can try. . . y’know what, no I can’t.

civ6-Nubia
Must’ve Learned It From Her.

After all, she was being a real drama queen about the pyramids.

civ6-Nubia
Repair Time.

I’m taking my newly-minted worker to tidy up the damage from the earlier flood.

civ6-Nubia
Build it!

And spooling up a water mill to boost production even more in the capital.

So, trying not to get our asses kicked while still expanding the map.
